Friends For Animals Metropolitan Detroit

The Pyramid Award Winning Friends for Animals Metropolitan Detroit is a non profit organization located in Dearborn Michigan. The Neumann/Smith designed Animal Shelter featured in CAM magazine, is the new home for animals and staff. The new 10,000 SF facility was connected to the former Dearborn Amtrak Station. Named the Maryann Wright Animal Adoption & Education Center, provides the community with adoption services for homeless cats and dogs and provides clean new kennels, grooming, feeding, meet and greet rooms, offices, laundry, exam room and indoor / outdoor exercise areas.

Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation, Stabler Farm Black Bird Lodge

Black Bird Lodge at Stabler Farm Park is a new Folk Art School constructed for Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation. Designed by The Collaborative, Black Bird Lodge was built on the Historic Stabler Farm and will provide the community with culinary teachings, with class room and demonstration facilities. The new facility is NET ZERO and was constructed with sustainable materials.

U of M Towsley

Day Care Center

University builds and renovations are a core part of our business. Our work is expressed in many facilities through out Michigan and especially on the U of M Campus. Being a part of the University of Michigan's select contractor's list for over 40 years is a definite honor and a tale of our consistent and quality services. The Towsley Center at the University of Michigan offers day care for children of university employees. The building was completed by Phoenix in late 2009 and replaces two houses that were joined in 1969 by Margaret Towsley to provide innovative child care.

Phoenix worked with architects Integrated Design Solutions to construct the 35,000 square foot building, which was completed within a 12-month period.

The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor is a one hundred-and-seventy-year-old member-directed Christian church. The church is located in the heart of Ann Arbor, adjacent to the U of M central campus that features excellent musical programming, including the renowned Wilhelm Organ. The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor is a major program and service provider in the Ann Arbor area. The Kingscott renovation design included renovations to accomplish many upgrades, creation of more welcoming and gathering areas and, full handicap accessibility.
